North Bay Village Commissioners and Vice Mayor have endorsed Michael Góngora in his candidacy for election to State Senate District 38 at the North Bay Village 4th of July celebration and took pictures with the candidate. He is pictured here with North Bay Village Mayor Connie LeonKreps, Vice Mayor Jorge Gonzalez and Commissioners Dr. Richard Chervony, Andreana Jackson and Eddie Lim. The new District 38 runs roughly from Miami Beach to Aventura and from the ocean to I95, including all of North Bay Village.
Stated Góngora, “I humbly ask for all of your support. As your senator for District 38, I hope to unite all of the coastal communities in the new District 38 in support of my candidacy. I am a proven leader and I am ready to hit the ground running to implement solutions to problems facing our community including traffic, flooding, education, better jobs and wages and drafting better and clearer condominium association laws.” Góngora is a community association attorney with the law firm of Becker & Poliakoff.
In supporting his candidacy, Commissioner Richard Chervony offered his endorsement and financial support. “ I have known Michael for many years and he understands government at all levels and will be effective in bringing home funds from Tallahassee to undertake needed traffic and flooding solutions throughout MiamiDade County. Michael has also been very involved in education issues here at Treasure Island Elementary where he is a frequent speaker with students,” said Chervony.
Commissioner Lim added, “It’s a natural fit to endorse a former Commissioner from our neighboring city. In addition, he’s a community association attorney which will be a big plus to have someone with his background and legal experience representing us in Tallahassee.”
