Starting Monday, November 7, 2016 Miami-Dade County will begin the process of pruning the Australian Pines on the Pine Tree Drive medians from 30 to 46 streets. The project’s anticipated time frame will be 40 days. This project will commence at the northern section at 46 street and will work its way south to conclude at 30 street.
Tree pruning activity will require a total closure of all the northbound and southbound lanes on a block-by-block basis as the project progresses. Miami-Dade County will reroute traffic around the work area(s) in order to minimize any delays. While tree pruning work is ongoing within a particular block, all on street parking will be restricted from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in order to prevent any potential damage to parked cars from falling tree debris. Please note that no tree pruning will occur during official City holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) or during Art Basel from December 1 through December 4.
