CELEBRATES HER 6TH ANNUAL WINTER CONCERT
TO BENEFIT THE MIAMI MUSIC PROJECT
“FOR THE LOVE OF YOU”

Miami’s own award-winning jazz recording artist, Nicole Henry performs her sixth annual winter concert on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the historic Colony Theatre in Miami Beach. The concert will raise funds and awareness for Miami Music Project who empowers children to achieve their full potential through music education and performance opportunities A highlight on the Miami winter calendar, the concert has enjoyed sold-out successes in its five years. For this year’s theme “For the Love of You,” Henry celebrates the season of love and of giving. Named after The Isley Brother’s 1975 hit song, the concert will feature a range of music including pop, soul, Broadway, jazz, inspirational, and holiday. The concert begins at 8 pm at the Colony Theatre, 1040 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139, preceded by a 6:30 pm reception on Lincoln Road, for sponsors and VIP ticket holders. VIP tickets are $100. A University of Miami graduate and long-time Miami Beach resident, the internationally renowned vocalist, Nicole Henry has toured in more than 20 countries; earned a Billboard Top 10 Jazz album; won a Soul Train Award for ‘Best Traditional Jazz Performance,’ a “Best New Jazz Artist” and “Best Vocal Jazz Album’ award by HMV Japan, and ‘Best Solo Musician’ by Miami New Times among others. “I really wanted to focus on a desire we all share,” says Henry. “Every human being wants to be loved.” A board member of Miami Music Project, Henry feels “all children deserve access to the various benefits of music education. Miami Music Project is really
composing better and more impassioned lives for our children of Miami-Dade, and therefore, for us all.”
